Acting Coaching

Professional theatre and film training for young performers and aspiring actors in person in the Birmingham area or worldwide via Zoom.

Birmingham has a thriving community theatre scene with auditions happening year-round. Whether you're preparing for your next audition, building foundational skills, or working on a self-tape for a film, GPS has you covered.

With nine years of professional experience in Los Angeles—including training with top acting coaches and at Upright Citizens Brigade—plus a theater degree and grounding in classical techniques (Stanislavsky, Meisner, Adler, Chubbuck), I focus on helping actors make bold choices, connect authentically to material, and develop their unique instrument. Classical training builds a foundation that works on any stage or in front of any camera. The work builds more than stage presence—it builds confidence, listening skills, and the ability to show up fully in any situation.

  • One-on-one sessions tailored to where you are. Audition prep for Birmingham's active community theatre season, self-tape coaching for film and TV, monologue work, character development, or foundational technique. Working on a musical is different than prepping for a TV procedural—we'll focus on what your specific project needs.

  • Learn alongside other performers in a supportive environment. Classes focus on scene work, improvisation, listening skills, and the kind of ensemble work that makes theatre collaborative instead of competitive. Just like in LA and NYC.
